GNW Scene Shop
GNW provides fabrication services to all sorts of clients. At the heart of our work, though, is our passion for and commitment to supporting Metro Vancouver’s live-performance companies. GNW's roots are in that sector, and it's part of our mission statement to offer professional services at adjusted not-for-profit pricing. To serve these clients, we have on staff a dedicated Project Manager—Theatre, who can advise on, cost, and steward these projects from sketches through to strike, all while balancing best artistic results with financial realities. Sometimes we build and install entire sets; other times, we might supply only certain elements, like flooring, a scenic drop, or custom-built props. We're proud to have ongoing relationships with local companies, such as Arts Umbrella, Bard on the Beach, Carousel Theatre, Green Thumb, Kidd Pivot, Mortal Coil, Pacific Theatre, Pi Theatre, PuSh, Savage Society, Theatre la Seizieme, Urban Ink, and Zee Zee Theatre. Our arts resumé coupled with our decades of technical expertise make us ideal collaborators.
