NOVEMBER 18-21, 2021. Thurs / Fri 5-10pm, Sat / Sun 11am-6pm

Each November—for 25 years and counting—the Eastside Arts Society [EAS] has produced the Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival, in which artists in Vancouver’s Eastside open their studios to the public. The event is focused on the area bounded by Columbia St., 2nd Ave., Victoria Dr., and the Waterfront, and involves painters, jewellers, sculptors, furniture makers, weavers, potters, printmakers, photographers, glassblowers— ranging from emerging artists to those internationally established.

Sunday, September 29th, 3 pm at the Arts Factory

Please join Chantal Cardinal of FELT à la main with LOVE for a small demo where she will show how she prepares some of the local wool fleeces she uses in her work. She will also invite you to get your hands wet. Participants will be offered supplies to make a small piece of felt and feel the magical properties that wool offers by binding fibers together using water, natural soap, and agitation to create fabric. No experience necessary, just a willingness to have fun!

Sunday, September 29th, 1 pm at the Arts Factory

In this hour long workshop, you will have the chance to create you own adorable or scary little monster. With guidance from artist Megan Majewski, you will learn different watercolor techniques while you create your own little unique monster. All ages and artistic skill levels welcome. Send an email to studio@artsfactorysociety.ca to book your spot!

This event is free.
